Vevo is to occupy The Lighthouse building in London’s King’s Cross. It is the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform and generates more than 20bn online views each month.

The Lighthouse is one of London’s most iconic buildings was redeveloped by UK Real Estate to provide 17,000 sq ft of Grade A offices. Located opposite the front of King’s Cross St Pancras International Station, the period building takes its name from the distinctive lighthouse structure on its roof which is thought to be a legacy of its Victorian past when the ground floor was occupied by Netten’s oyster bar. The local legend is that when fresh oysters arrived the Lighthouse beacon was turned on.

Nick Capstick-Dale of UK Real Estate comments: “This important building was on the listed buildings ‘at risk’ register when I acquired it. Throughout the development process my focus has been to build a new building behind the listed façade which delivers the quality and style of offices sought in the marketplace today. Its views over the regenerated King’s Cross station are spectacular.

“The tremendous demand for new space at the King’s Cross Central development has shown the potential for the area, and we believe that The Lighthouse is one of the best office buildings in this rapidly-evolving neighbourhood. We are delighted that a business as vibrant and multi-national as Vevo has decided to make the Lighthouse its London home.”

Providing space on five levels including a stunning top floor with its barrel-vaulted ceiling, the space was marketed through Levy Real Estate and Gerald Eve.
