Leading interior design and decoration business, the Colefax Group, has taken a 29,196 sq ft warehouse and office facility on the Wandsworth Trading Estate, London SW18.

It has signed a new 15-year lease at an initial rent of close to £16 per sq ft. Unit 4 comprises a warehouse with ancillary offices of 19,151 sq ft together with a two-storey office building of 10,045 sq ft.

Jeremy Grundy of Levy Real Estate – who advised landlord, Capital Industrial, on the letting – commented: “Warehouse space close to central London remains in very short supply and this letting – to a first-class occupier – reflects the progressive nature of rents.

“The Colefax Group is now one of the major occupiers in this area of London. It occupies around 62,000 sq ft across the Wandsworth Trading Estate, the neighbouring Sargent Industrial Estate and in the nearby Shurgard storage facility.”

Listed on the London Stock Exchange, the Colefax Group is an international designer and distributor of luxury furnishing fabrics and wallpapers and a leading international decorating company. Sales are made under the brand names Colefax and Fowler, Cowtan and Tout, Jane Churchill, Larsen and Manuel Canovas. The Group has offices in the UK, USA, France, Germany and Italy, which form part of an expanding worldwide distribution network.
