A leading Chinese private equity firm is opening its first London office at 33 Jermyn Street, SW1 occupying 3,500 sq ft on the fourth floor at a rent of £100 per sq ft.

Patrick Ryan of Levy Real Estate – who sublet the space on behalf of Apax Partners – commented: “Chinese-backed investment into the UK has grown substantially in the past year with more than £6bn of capital being committed last year.

“St James’s is the favoured location for many private equity firms and 33 Jermyn Street is an ideal base for this type of occupier.”

Levy Real Estate is currently marketing a further 8,000 sq ft in the building at a revised rent of £90 per sq ft which can be split to provide units from 3,000 sq ft.
